EROTICISM<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”” el_class=”xtd-spacer”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Eroticism is the expression of sexuality, slightly hidden, teasing us with that which is left unsaid. We all have innate sexuality. We all express it and perceive it through manners of dress, speech makeup, etc.<\/p>\n

In my sculpture I use neutral (from an erotic point of view) objects – common objects, and endow them with erotic content. But previously over the span of centuries, utilitarian, functional tools were decorated with elements of figurative sculpture and art. (For example Greek vases, furniture baroque dishes etc,)<\/p>\n

I on the other hand move in the opposite direction. I take figurative sculpture and into it I bring elements of very familiar, utilitarian, functional objects (forks, knives, shoes, scissors, axes etc.) This synthesis results in a new understanding – new, erotic content.<\/p>\n

* Painting credit – Eve giving Adam the forbidden fruit by Lucas Cranach the Elder<\/b>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]This creates a sense of intrigue – double and triple meanings, the delight of things left unsaid. The observer has the opportunity to independently interpret these meanings and complete the thoughts. This is dialogue. To me, having dialogue with a work of art is more important than being shocked by it. Shock is probably a more effective means of influence, but it passes. It gives way to questions: “What is this for? What does it give me?”<\/p>\n

I am for dialogue, never ending dialogue that can change depending on one’s mood, feelings, time of day, age and a thousand other reasons, or for no reason at all.<\/p>\n

I maintain dialogue with the observer through sculpture in its own unique language by using images, my metaphors. And anyone who engages me in this dialogue knows that is me they are speaking with. It is hard to mistake me for anyone else.<\/p>\n

I invite you to converse about things we are very familiar with, things that are very important. About love, about eroticism, about man and woman. Let us converse with humor and irony.<\/p>\n
